Far East: People are loosing their jobs because of government

After USSR’ collapse all industry had stopped. In Primorsky Kray (Приморский край) and in it’s capital Vladivostok (Владивосток), people have found only one opportunity to earn money. That was import goods from Japan, South Korea and China.

Big part of that goods was second-hand cars from Japan. That were right-hand drive cars, which was made for inside Japanese market. Now, if you are walking on streets in Vladivostok, you could see only these cars.

Here are lots of companies and private persons, who earn money for a bread by this import. Many importers, many spare parts stores - everything for people, who made their choice. Their choice is Japanese cars. Second-hand, but with good quality. Very good quality. Actually, Japanese cars for Japan more better than Japanese cars for export.

14 December 2008 here was big protest action in Vladivostok, protest against huge custom fees for imported cars. It means many people will loose their jobs, and some of theme already did. Actually, me too (that’s why I have a time to write all of this here).

This weekend people protesting again. Both days, Saturday and Sunday.

Police had arrested many people today. Although most of them did nothing bad. So here some links, where you can see pictures and Videos from today’s protest:

Main problem is: most of federal TV channels, radio-stations and newspapers keep silence about these actions of protest.

This fact with another ones (changing in Russian laws and Constitution) is illustrating about Russian way. As you can see, USSR is coming back. To tell the truth, nothing good in this case.

Stay tuned. We’ll see what will happen tomorrow...

hi Alexey
it’s really sad to know that you also lost your job. Its really confusing as to why is police arresting people. As far as i could make out from the pics in the links provided by you in the story..it seems a peaceful demonstration.

yes, that’s what I mean - it’s a peaceful demonstration. That woman in yellow suit, for example - she only stayed and holded the banner.

After looking at those pics nothing can deny the simmering discontent within the Russian society. no matter ho hard the federal government may try to stifle it.... Keep up the good work, Alexey and thanks for revealing the face of state sponsored terror .....

The fact that the shares are held grievances - this is normal. People should express their views. And this happens in any country in the world, including USA. And that sometimes does not show these demonstrations on TV - is also correct, because the Government has really worked hard to improve the economic situation in the country and has great success in doing so. The site often used photographs and articles that are a product of the information war launched by USA, as well as the Cold War - because no one would deny that a weak country will attack more severe?
GO RUSSIA!!!

P.S. Sorry for my foreign language.

”I don’t oppose Russia, I love my country and especially Far East.
I am good citizen. I don’t violate rules, but I don’t like when somebody does. Police in this case, for example. It is very frustrating...”

I think this is happening in most of the countries of the world. You are right, this is frustrating. we are somehow trying to get out our frustration here and in frustration we start calling each other names but we don’t come up with anything that is productive to this sorry situation.
however, when this kind of incidences happen we need to put them together to show the rest of the world that nobody’s immune to the atrocities... better we come together to fight this out!
Love and Peace!!!

It is your opinion. I am showing what I think interesting to show, and that’s it.

You can post something interesting and good about Russia, as I see you have account on this web site. But why don’t you post anything in your blog? Do it, why not?

You don’t post anything in own blog, but call by dirty words to another person in his own blog. Do you think who are you after that? :-)

>>You work on another side.

There are no any sides, only viewpoints. Look at the logo of this web site. You will see the phrase there: ”Everyone has a viewpoint”. Write your viewpoint, nobody bother you.

>>You just a rat! F..ck U!
===
Oh, boy! You even didn’t fill up your profile and didn’t show your face - but saying these dirty words. How old are you? 15-23 years old, I guess. If you are older - better don’t fill up your profile, what a shame!

I don’t think even to write something about or against Russia. But I have my opinion against enemies of Russia and your blog is open - isn’t it? Your blog for views and I tell my opinion - everything ok.

> There are no any sides, only viewpoints.
))) No, no and no. I know the style of your articles. It is a style of ”cold war propaganda”. You laughing on Russia.
May be you try to find a job? But time of John McCain is gone! )

It is my last message in this site - I’m not lost, but I saw that you don’t want to change you f..ng style of articles. It is your choise. And I’m not has a pleasure.

> I am showing what I think interesting to show, and that’s it.

It is a key. You write for interests of foreign people in time, when thousands of people,
athletes, heroes and government are working to break the image of bear and drunk Russia. And who you are after that? ”what a shame!” ))
